Samsung made huge releases in this year’s MWC 2017 by launching two high-end (really high-end devices) tablets thereby going straight after Apple’s iPad Pro 9.7. One of which is powered by Android and other uses Windows platform. And both of them comes with the S Pen stylus to level up the productivity.

Now, let’s talk about the design.

Samsung took a huge step ahead in terms of design in the tablet section by giving this tablet great metal and glass build. No plastic, All metal and Glass. The back is covered in Gorilla Glass to give it a glossy and hardy glass look. It looks premium from every inch.

It certainly is a fingerprint magnet but feels just as premium as the iPad Pro.

It is not as slim as its predecessor but it is light weight and comfortable than iPad Air 2 at 429 gms. There will be no issue to hold it for long periods.

The Home button is still there with a fast fingerprint scanner between back button and multitasking button. The volume rockers and the power button both are located on the right side.

It certainly is eye-caching at first and Samsung’s take on the premium build proves it.

The screen here undoubtedly beats iPad Pro with same resolution of 2048 x 1536 with  QXGA Super AMOLED panel. This means better blacks and vibrant colors than any LCD panel out there.

The main highlight here is the support for HDR10 in video playback. Alongside,  Netflix and Amazon Prime Video announced that will soon be streaming HDR for the Sasmung Galaxy Tab S3.

HDR videos looks more promising than SDR videos on the alaxy Tab S3. Tab S3 also supports 4K videos even with the lower resolution display.

The main highlight here is the audio. Samsung has gone all in ont the audio department by including quad-speakers tuned by AKG (HARMAN). There are four separate drivers at one of the each corners. It automatically follows the direction mode of the screen. So you’ll hear clear audio whether you hold it horizontal or vertical.

As Samsung told during launch, it can be a hometheatre packed inside a small thin box.

Tab S3 packs with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB Ram. It is not the newest but keeps things smooth.

User interface is smooth and responsive due to Touhcwiz and Android 7.0 Nougat. Switching between apps is hiccup free and smooth. Graphic Gaming is great because of the Vulkan API.

With the inbuilt fast charging and USB-C, it is easy to get back to hundred percent.

Battery size is not good as the iPad Air 2 at 6000maH as of 7340maH of Air 2.

The rear camera is 13 MP with autofocus and a LED flash while the selfie shooter is 5MP.

Though the Galaxy Tab S3 looks cool and promising, but it is not the all of it. Samsung is keen to show the real power with a glimpse of how productive this tablet can be.

The Tab S3 comes with a revised S Pen with a lot more. The S Pen is now a bit chunkier and gives the feel of a normal pen.

It is comfortable to hold and with the rubber grip, it is easy to glide on the screen giving it a natural feel to it.

Apart from drawing and taking notes, including Instant translation, Screen capture and the scrapbook copy and paste feature.

It also comes with a pogo keyboard as an accessory.

Samsung has clearly made efforts in making the Tab S3 a complete all-rounder. With quad speakers and HDR capable screen, it is a beast in productivity too.

Other than any Android Tablet, it is the most premium looking tablet and there is no match in the Android platform for this tablet.

We will see more in our Techbot Exclusive full review when we get the device to ourselves.
