Premium Duo Plan, Spotify for two?

With new playlist based on your listening habits

Spotify currently testing out a new plan called PREMIUM DUO that offers Premium subscriptions for two at price of €12.49 a month. This new plan spotted by redditor u/Hasztagg and confirmed to The Verge by Spotify. Premium Duo plan comes with new playlist called DUO Mix, which got created based on both your listening patterns.

Standard Spotify subscription costs €9.99 per subscriber. Whereas Premium Duo subscription offers decent saving for lovers and roommates. Only requirement of Premium Duo subscription is that address must be same for both subscribers, but what’s different now is that Spotify will ask you to provide this address as part of the Duo sign-up process.

Spotify’s exiting Family subscription grant up to six people to share the same plan for $14.99 per month. However, Spotify Family has become a source of annoyance for the streaming service. In the past, any six person or friends can share Family subscription simply by confirming their address proofing e-mail even though they not living together as a family.

Once you subscribe to Premium Duo, you will get access to new feature DUO MIX, a new auto-generated playlist similar to Spotify’s existing Discover Weekly or Daily Mix playlists. You get the same playlist in both accounts automatically, when your setup the account. here are also “Chill” and “Upbeat” choices you get for the playlist on the mobile app to switch between songs of different tempos.

This plan also gives a shared playlist feature that allows you to share all your music collection with your partner with on click. Currently Premium Duo package made live in Colombia, Chile, Denmark, Ireland, and Poland by Spotify. There no confirmation about this new plan gets deployed in other countries.
