Today, Reliance Jio was forced to withdraw its Jio Summer Surprise Offer, following the instructions of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
On 31st March, Jio announced an offer “Jio Summer Surprise” under which all the Jio Prime Customers would get extra free 3 months of unlimited Jio 4G services on recharge of Rs. 303 or more and the recharge of 303/- would be levied after those three months.
“Today the TRAI has advised Jio to withdraw the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE. Jio accepts this decision” said the operator in a press release.
Operator also added “Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days. However, all customers who have subscribed to JIO SUMMER SURPRISE offer prior to its discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer”
So, those who have already recharged for 303/- they will be getting 3 months of free Jio 4G services, whereas rest of all will have to pay for the services starting from 15th April.
As, on 31st March in a surprise move, when Reliance Jio was expected to become a paid / chargeable service from April 1, 2017. They announced an extension till 15th April, for buying Jio’s Prime Memberships and Rs. 303 plan.
So, now it’s time to take a look at Jio’s Plans.
