At this year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show), we’ve witnessed a lot of raised bars in terms of display resolutions and quality. And hence, HTC also following the trend with its next generation HTC Vive Pro has introduced a better display.
What’s New ?
The Vive Pro features two OLED displays having resolution of 2880 x 1600 with 615 pixels per inch, which is a 78% increase from previous Vive headset that was 2160 x 1200 resolution. With the higher resolution, HTC is trying to bring sharper text and graphics for an improved experience.
The Vive Pro is also designed to feel good when used. It is lighter than the existing Vive, has integrated high-performance headphones and more improved ergonomics. Dual microphones and active noise cancellation improve communication, and dual front-facing cameras are included, too.
Along, with the Vive Pro HTC also introduced a new Vive Wireless Adapter for both the Vive and Vive Pro headset, to bring wireless VR headset integration.
Although HTC didn’t provide any details regarding the pricing or release date for the Vive Pro, but says additional information will be announced in the future.
